On October 10, 2012, President Frank approved changes to Policy 1150 (“Staff Council”) for a one-year pilot period. Under the revised policy, staff who are not members of Staff Council or any of its committees may now receive release time to attend Staff Council meetings and special events, subject to certain exceptions. The demands of the workplace, however, should take precedence over participation in Staff Council activities. Due to the particular demands of their jobs, staff who work in patient care facilities are not eligible for this release time.
