Effective July 1, 2013, President Frank signed changes to UAP 3600 ("Eligibility for Employee, Retiree, and Dependent Benefit Plans"). The policy revisions describe the new eligibility requirements for post-retirement benefits and the establishment of the Voluntary Employee Beneficiary Association. In that it was necessary to issue the policy revisions quickly to reflect practices that went into effect on July 1st, the revisions were drafted outside of the normal policy review process and not made available for a 30-day campus comment review period, among other customary reviews. UAP 3600 was formerly titled "Employee Benefit Plans." Please contact the UNM Policy Office to request a track-changes version of the policy revisions.
