Board of Regents Approves Regents' Policy Manual - Section 1.5 Revision

On May 10, 2022 the Board of Regents approved revisions to existing policy 1.5 in the Regents' Policy Manual (RPM). Descriptions of the policy revisions and a link to the revised policy are provided below.  

Regents' Policy Manual – Section 1.5: Appeals to the Board of Regents

  • This policy was revised to allow faculty, staff or students affected by a final decision of any University authority to appeal the decision to the Board of Regents except where a collective bargaining agreement provides a different and exclusive remedy, and only after appealing to the President of the University, or their designee. Implementation of this policy was revised to indicate that a person wishing to appeal a decision of the President, or their designee, must submit a written petition to the Board within ten (10) days, instead of previous language indicating thirty (30) days. The revision also adds language where the Board shall render its final decision within ninety (90) days from the date the appeal was filed.
