On August 10, 2023, the Board of Regents approved revisions to an existing policy in the Regents' Policy Manual (RPM) - Section 6.11: Dependent Educational Benefits.
The approved policy revisions remove specific eligibility requirements from Regents' Policy, including the applicability to only full-time permanent employees, and the limit of consecutive semesters for waivers of tuition. Additionally, language excluding waivers of tuition for summer session was removed.
In an effort to bring the policy up to date and provide alignment with UNM's current benefits practices, the policy now specifies domestic partners in eligibility.
