New Policy Management System Implementation: 60-Day Soft Go-Live

UNM is transitioning to PolicyStat, a dynamic new platform that simplifies how we access and manage University policy manuals, including the Regents' Policy Manual (RPM) and University Administrative Policies and Procedures (UAP). This replaces policy.unm.edu and introduces features to keep policies current and accessible.

Effective August 4, 2025, UNM PolicyStat will become the official source of UAP and RPM policy documentation.

About PolicyStat

  • Google-style search that handles typos and prioritizes results.
  • Automated reminders every 3 years for scheduled reviews.
  • Dynamic role verification with Active Directory sync.
  • Personal dashboards for policy owners/editors showing review statuses and overdue items.
  • Built-in reports and policy statistics.
  • Historical version access and final redlined revisions.

There are three PolicyStat sites:

Policy Office Website & Transition

The Policy Office website will remain online but will no longer host official policy documents. All official UAP and RPM policies will be on PolicyStat only.

Important: After the 60-day soft launch, access to legacy policy documents will be removed. Departments must update all policy links using the crosswalk provided.

Crosswalk & URL Link Updates

A crosswalk document is available to help with URL updates:

  • Old: https://policy.unm.edu/university-policies/1000/1200.html
  • New: https://unmpolicy.policystat.com/policy/17084638/latest/

Access the full crosswalk on the Policy Process tab at policy.unm.edu. Updates must be completed by August 1, 2025.

Policy.unm.edu Website Updates

  • Policy Crosswalk: Links to PolicyStat (available through August 1, 2026).
  • Policy Owners: Training and resources for policy editors.
  • Policy Toolkit: Includes templates and drafting checklists.
  • Policy Request Form & UAP Policy Flow: Updates pending official go-live.

What to Do During the 60-Day Soft Launch

  • Log into the Policy Owner UAP site and explore your dashboard.
  • Select "University Administrative (UAP)" on first login.
  • Update departmental links using the published crosswalk.
  • Attend training sessions and review video tutorials.
  • Designate a delegate for your unit to assist with reviews and edits.
  • Contact policy@unm.edu for support.

PolicyStat Final Migration

Effective August 4, 2025, UNM PolicyStat will be the sole official source for UAP and RPM documentation.
