Minor revisions to UAP 3500 ("Wage and Salary") and UAP 3430 ("Catastrophic Leave Program")

On October 2, 2013, President Frank approved minor revisions to UAP 3500 ("Wage and Salary Administration") and UAP 3430 ("Catastrophic Leave Program"). 

In order for UAP 3500 ("Wage and Salary Administration") to be consistent with current practices on payment for shift work, a sentence was added to Section 5 ("Pay Rate for Shift Work") to address certain emergency and medical service positions.  In order to clarify that UAP 3430 ("Catastrophic Leave Program") applies solely to staff employees and not faculty, the word "staff" was inserted in front of employee.

Due to the minor nature of these changes, the revised policies were issued outside the normal policy review process.
