On January 28, 2016, President Frank approved a new University Administrative Policy, UAP 2580 (“Data Governance”), and revisions of an existing policy, UAP 3290 (“Professional Development and Training”). Last fall semester, drafts of these two policies were posted for review and comment on the Policy Office website. Afterwards, the Policy Office and stakeholders revised the policies in response to comments received and other concerns. The scope of the Data Governance Policy was limited to data obtained from the University’s enterprise systems. The Professional Development and Training Policy was significantly reorganized and streamlined, and roles, responsibilities, and terms were clarified.
