On October 13, 2017, Interim President Abdallah approved minor revisions to two policies in the University Administrative Policy (UAP) Manual. In that the revisions were minor, they were processed outside of the formal policy review process in accordance with Section 5.1 of UAP 1100 ("Development and Approval of University Policies"). The policies and the minor revisions to them are listed below.
UAP 3600 ("Eligibility for Employee, Retiree, and Dependent Benefit Plans")
In Section 3.6, the policy was revised to specify that employees who pass away after submitting retirement paperwork under ERA or ARP and prior to the first official date of retirement are eligible for Post-Retirement Benefits, including coverage for eligible dependents (elected prior to retirement).
UAP 7610 ("Investment Management")
The policy was updated to reflect current titles, and to shift oversight of the investment portfolio from the Office of Planning, Budget, and Analysis to the University Controller.
