On June 28, 2019, President Stokes approved UAP 6030 to expand on Regents' Policy 7.17 ("University-Affiliated Organizations"). UAP 6030 seeks to provide oversight for the efforts and activities of University-Affiliated organizations, while preserving their separateness.
The new policy requires the President to assign a Senior University Oversight Official for each University-Affiliated Organization. One responsibility of the Senior University Oversight Official is to ensure the University enters into written services agreements with University-Affiliated Organizations. In addition, each University-Affiliated Organization, at the end of each fiscal year, shall provide the President with an annual report as set forth in Section 2.1 of the policy.
