Board of Regents Approves Regents' Policy Manual Changes

On October 19, 2021, the Board of Regents approved revisions to two existing policies in the Regents' Policy Manual (RPM). Descriptions of the policy revisions and links to the revised policies are provided below.  


Regents' Policy Manual - Maintenance of the Regents' Policy Manual

  • The policy was revised to delegate narrow authority to the University Policy Officer to make minor changes to Regents' policies to correct departmental or other unit names, position titles, grammatical errors, stylistic inconsistencies, typographical errors, URL links, or references. The revision also adds language to clarify policy regarding Development of Policy, Publicity and Public Input, and Policy Archives.

Regents' Policy Manual - Section 7.4: Purchasing

  • The policy was revised to allow the University President to approve the execution of contracts for the purchase of goods and services in excess of $5,000,000 per year. The revision also institutes Regental oversight via a report to the Board of Regents of purchases in excess of $5,000,000 presented for information at regular Board of Regents meetings.
