Two existing policies in the University Administrative Policies and Procedures Manual, and one new policy, are available for all-campus review and comment.  Due to the holidays and semester break, we will be allowing for an extended review and comment period.

The all-campus review and comment period closes on January 15th, 2025.  

To review and comment on the revised policies, click on the links below.

UAP 6130 (“Emergency Control”)

•  Add definitions for policy clarity
• Update language to respond to new organizational structure, and clarify applicability
• Remove redundancy where requirements are dictated by other policies
• Add section on Immediate Response, and streamlined sections on Critical Employees and Final Exam Week
• Update existing links, department names, and position titles

 UAP 7200 (“Cash Management”)

• Assign a single policy owner, University Treasurer
• Clarify UAP 7200 provisions by removing duplicate policies and strengthening policy language
• Update existing links and document names
• Streamline the cash disbursement approval process to remove resource bottlenecks (while maintaining strong segregation of duties for expenditure approval)
• Modernize language to account for electronic authorizations, new regulations, and new payment methods

UAP XXXX (“Foreign Gifts and Contracts”) NEW

•  New policy required by provisions in Section 117 of the Higher Education Act of 1965, and the federal CHIPS and Science Act of 2022.

For existing policies, redline versions have been provided for ease in identifying the proposed revisions.
